No matter where you are in the world you can smell August coming in, With one soft breeze, it wafts in like an Aprés treat. 

If May is the apéritif, June; the appetizer and July; the entreé then August must be the sweetest dessert. After the world has simmered in the heat of its youth, we are left with the remnants of the slow burn: a caramelized delight.

 As summer lingers, fall beckons and, like a dance, the two intertwine in a waltz to form what is affectionately known as Summer’s adieu

August is our greatest reminder that imminent endings allow us to savor and savoring affords us a supernatural absorption of time and space. This imminent ending does not tarnish the present moment nor detract from today's enjoyment but, rather, it offers a piece of perspective-- lest you run amok and mistake a gift for paid dues. This ever-approaching shift reveals what you possess and allows you to revel in the elusive yet enchanting “Now”. 

August is, indeed, a grand Adieu. Spend time Filling these final moments of summer with love before you depart to a new beginning. And When you feel that all-too-familiar tug on your heart, telling you that you are about to lose something, you mustn't forget, we need goodbye to bring us to hello.

Thrifting may be the most frugal way to update your wardrobe for the new season that’s just around the corner. I have always admired the concept from afar but have developed the teensiest case of nausea at the thought of purchasing clothing that was worn by God-knows-who while they engaged in God-knows-what.As you can see there is quite a bit of faith involved and I am not properly equipped to provide guidelines for your thrifting adventures. It seems that there is a current influx in Drive-in movie theaters across the country. Should this be the only thing that comes out of the pandemic I wouldn’t be even 70% mad. Moral of the story—people find a way and Drive-in theaters make me believe in the human race again.
