A Bit of Bio

I always like learning a bit about the people behind the scenes, so here are a bit o’ bio:

I am an LA native and Californian through and through. I crave nourishment for my mind, body, and soul which has led me to some beautiful people, places, and conversations.

*They call me…

Rae, Rae-Rae, Rach, Rachi, Rachiman, Rachi-Rach, and Deluca.

playlist curator—providing tunes attune to the need. Call me “The Vibe Architect”.

Documentary consumer—how do you think I know so much about Fleetwood Mac?

yoga dabbler—i sit cross-legged sometimes. exploring the benefits of the physical(asana), mental(meditation), and nutritional(aryuvedic) aspects of yoga.

long-time surf rat—catch me at the BU!

Aspiring conversationalist—”So, if you could describe your childhood in a color, what would it be”?

Almond milk latte aficionado—challenge accepted.

Medicinal writer—words are my medicine.

The cat killed by curiosity—consider me dead.

90s fashun advocate—I love a good JCrew catalog circa 1992.

Student of life—life= learning.

Bible reader—the truth will set you free.

Full-time traveller—never been here before.

Who are *They you ask?

I am daughter, Sister, Cuzz & Friend to some pretty incredible humans who have taught and continue to shape me.

*They, may or may not include my multiple personalities.

I operate from the conviction that I am a created being. One that has been made to hold & carry the person and work of Jesus Christ. The gospel is a grace-filled narrative that shapes and informs all other narratives I come across. I aim to continually refine, measure, ask, and empty in order to live a truth-infused life.

My favorite “Vessel” verses:

2 Corinthians 4:7// But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

Romans 9:23// And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,

1 Corinthians 6:19-20// Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Romans 12:1// I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

2 Corinthians 5:17// Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Creating Vessel has been one of the most enjoyable modes of creativity & connection.
